Ride on and around one of the most famous and respected climbs in all of cycling for 5 or 7 days and race the epic Granfondo Stelvio Santini. 

The race is challenging but rewarding: mythical climbs, an international peloton and unrivalled services both on and off the bike which allows you to live and ride like a professional.

The OMR crew is ready each day to give our “team” the full Pro Tour service and experience.  You’ll find your bike ready each morning, drink bottles ready refilled as you like them, Massage after each ride and a freshly laundered riding kit for every day.

Additionally, we provide nutritional guidance and supplements and will be present at strategic locations for re-fueling and kit drops zones during the race.  We will give you daily route wraps and guidance and personalized ride strategy. You will truly feel like a Pro when we sit down together for an organized dinner and discuss the following day. Our objective is leave all the logistics to us so you can concentrate fully on the day’s ride ahead!

YOUR RIDE  

WHO WOULD ENJOY THIS EXPERIENCE?

The experience is built for all riders able to ride for 4-6 hours. The Granfondo is a high-intensity race, but in contrast the acclimatization tour is a true cycling adventure at moderate pace across one of the most picturesque region in the world.

During the acclimatization tour, we will ride as a group on the rolling terrain and as individuals or small groups on the climbs, so that everyone will enjoy the ride. During the race, you will ride at your own pace, and we will support you at the start, on the route, and at the finish line. You ride; we’ll take care of everything else: accommodations, food, bike, massage, laundry, and more!

All cyclists interested in Granfondo but also in exploring a new region and amidst magnificent scenery will enjoy this incredible experience!

Stunning, steep, and legendary, the iconic climbs in the Dolomites draw cyclists from all over the globe. With the Haute Route Dolomites, you'll have the unique opportunity to pin on a number, test yourself, and compete with and against friends for bragging rights on some of the most famous cycling climbs in the world. Featuring three legendary summit finishes and unforgettable climbs above 2,000 metres – including the mighty Passo Giau, the infamous Tre Cime di Lavaredo, as well as Passo Pordoï and Passo Sella – it’s only fitting that the Haute Route Dolomites will also be guided by same safety motorbike escorts as the Giro d’Italia.

TOUR ITINERARY

Day 1 - Bormio

Welcome & warm up ride

This is a warm-up ride to ease the legs and body 5 days of intense riding.  Some of you may have only recently stepped off a plane, so this ride offers a great way to “tease” out that tiredness.  It will include some small climbs and offer spectacular views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 2 - Bormio loop to Passo Stelvio

Main Route: 80km, 63mi |Total Ascent: 2500m, 8500ft

It's time to discover the beast: Passo dello Stelvio!

This will be our final climb of Sunday's race, from the Bormio side. The ascent is 20km long and has a steady gradient around 8%,with some pinches of 13-14%! The view all the way up is just incredible.

Day 3 - Bormio loop to Passo del Mortirolo (Start of 5 Days Package)

Main Route: 90km, 69mi

Total Ascent: 2500m, 8500ft

We continue our adventure climbing another iconic mountain: Passo del Mortirolo!

This is a brutal climb and it's better to take it easy on the 10km road from Mazzo to the top as the average gradient is over 11%!

Day 4 - Bormio Loop to Laghi di Cancano

Main Route: 80km, 63mi Total Ascent: 2500m, 8500ft

After two days of big mountains, today we take it easy as we are only 2 days away from the Granfondo. We will take a short ride up to the stunning Lakes of Cancano, where the Giro 2020 finished its Queen Stage!

Day 5 - Rest Day

Granfondo registration and bike tuning

Today we will take a break and get ready for the Granfondo: Bib number, race pack and bike washing. Don't forget to carbo load at dinner!

Day 6 - Granfondo Stelvio Santini

Main Route: 150km, 95mi Total Ascent: 2500m, 8500ft

The big day: Mortirolo and Stelvio are waiting for you!

We will enjoy the great scenery and the excitement of the race with 3000 riders from all over the world! See you at the top of the Stelvio!

Day 7 - Goodbye

Check out and transfer to airport

After a nice breakfast, bike packing and transfer to Airport
