The start from Soave is perfect as it mostly flat, then route become hilly with some climbing towards the end of the tour approaching Follina.

The climbs are never hard as the gradient is always around 6-8% and when steeper, generally for short distances.

The roads are well-paved and safe, with drivers showing incredible respect for cyclists!

Day One - Soave Warm-up Ride

Main Route: 40km – 25mi
 | Total Ascent: 680m – 2200ft

This is a warm-up ride to ease the legs and body into it.  Some of you may have only recently stepped off a plane, so this ride offers a great way to “tease” out that tiredness.  It will take in some small climbs and offer spectacular views across the vineyards and the surrounding mountains.

Day Two - Soave loop to Verona

Main Route: 75km – 52mi
 | Total Ascent: 1100m – 3600ft

This is a beautiful ride around to the romantic city of Verona. After an initial flat start, the remaining day’s ride is undulating with only one slightly difficult climb on the way back to Soave. You’ll be enchanted by the view.

Day Three – Soave to Bassano Del Grappa

Main Route: 80km – 58mi
 | Total Ascent: 1525m – 5000ft

After an initial flat 10kms, we climb towards the medieval town of Arzignano. The rest of the ride is undulated followed by a final 20km flat parcours along the valley to Bassano Del Grappa, the town of the Alpini army!

Day Four – Bassano loop to Monte Grappa

Main Route: 65km – 40mi | Total Ascent: 1500m – 5290ft

The Monte Grappa is one of the symbol of the Veneto region for many reasons, but mainly for the huge battles fought during World War One, when thousands of Italian and Austrian toops died. From a cycling perpsective, it’s the major mountain before you reach the Alps and the Dolomites.  Our climb is long and steady with the “occasional” steep section.  Good luck!

Day Five – Bassano loop to Marostica & Wilier Triestina Head Quarter

Main Route: 60km – 37mi | Total Ascent: 1000m – 3300ft

Our route takes us 60km today, crossing two amazing medieval towns which have splendid walls constructed in 300AD and are still considered some of the best preserved in Europe.  After this morning’s adventure, we head to the Wilier factory to check out first-hand the Wilier range and talk to the staff to glean all technical aspects.

Day Six – Bassano del Grappa to Follina

Main Route: 55km – 34mi
 | Total Ascent: 600m – 1950ft

Today we leave the wonderful town of Bassano and head into the famous Prosecco region, where we find and taste one of Italy’ most famous wines.  This is an undulating route with one climb at the very end.  We’ll visit the enchanting town of Valdobbiadene and finish in Follina to enjoy “some” Prosecco tasting!

Day Seven – Follina rest day & visit to Treviso or Venice

No riding today.  A well earned rest day where we have the choice to either just relax in Conegliano or spend a wonderful day in Treviso or Venice!

Day Eight – Follina loop to Montello and Gaerne Shoes factory

Main Route: 65km – 40mi
| Total Ascent: 800m – 2600ft

Today we ride on the Montello, known as the cycling park of Treviso.  The Montello is in fact a hilly park immersed in forests and quiet roads which have become a Mecca for local cyclists.  Our route is undulating with one real climb to the top of the Montello. At the end of our ride, we’ll stop at the Gaerne bicycle shoe company for a guided tour of the factory.  Here we’ll see how the world famous brand of shoes are still hand-made in Italy.

Day Nine – Follina loop to Passo San Boldo

Main Route: 55km – 37mi
 | Total Ascent: 800m – 2600ft

A great ride up to Passo San Boldo, a little mountain on the way to Belluno. The climb follows on a spectacular road built with many swtihbacks and short tunnels, offering a fantastic view of the prosecco region.

Day Ten – Arrivederci
