A nice trip across the famous Tuscany countryside starting from the coastal town of Grosseto, with a stop in the charming Montalcino famous for Brunello Wine and arrival in the stunning Siena, the town of the Palio.

MORE ABOUT THE TERRAIN
We have selected some of the best routes, offering a mix of all terrains. Just keep in mind that Tuscany is not flat!
We start easy on the coast, then tackle some short climbs for the rest of the week together with some nice rolling terrain, including some Strade Bianche (gravel roads!).
Some of the climbs can be challenging but generally for very short distance. Roads will be very in good condition with very light traffic. Only with many cyclists always around!

TUSCANY EIM TOUR 2020 ITINERARY
Day One – Grosseto Warm-up Ride
Main Route: 30km; 19mi | Total Ascent: 300m; 950ft
Easy ride along the coast. This is a chance to ease out any jet lag and enjoy the Mediterranean Sea
Day Two – Grosseto Loop To Punta Ala
Main Route: 60km; 38mi | Total Ascent: 800m; 2400ft
Nice undulating ride to the beautiful protected area of Punta Ala and back. On the way back, why not tast some great loca cheese and wine?
Day Three – Grosseto to Montalcino
Main Route: 70km; 43mi | Total Ascent: 500m; 1600ft
Our first transfer day take us to the medieval town of Montalcino, famous all over the world for the superb Brunello Wine. After the ride we will walk in town and visit the Medieval Fortress, then enjoy a couple (or more!) glasses of Brunello in one of the many wine cellar!
Day Four – Montalcino loop to Pienza
Main Route: 55km; 38mi | Total Ascent: 400m; 1100ft
Another interesting hilly ride to Pienza, one of the most picturesque village in Tuscany.
Some hills on our way but always rewarded by stunning views of the Country side. Pienza is famous for the Pecorino cheese, let’s taste it!
Day Five – Montalcino to Siena
Main Route: 60km; 43mi | Total Ascent: 800m; 2400ft
Last transfer day to our final destination, the town of Siena famous for its Piazza del Campo and the Palio, the annual horse race around the piazza. Again, the ride is not flat but the arrival in Siena worth every single pain.
Day Six – Siena loop to Radda in Chianti
Main Route: 50km; 35mi | Total Ascent: 600m; 1900ft
Our last day is one of the best ride you can do in Italy, across the famous Chianti wine Region, surrounded by castles and charming villages. We will ride some of the Eroica race course, a bike race that requires a vintage bike and clothing!
Day Seven – Goodbye
