If you’ve qualified for this wonderful event and are serious about putting in a good showing, you’ll need to be prepared! Many of you will be traveling a great distance to be in Scotland.
The tour program we have put together will get you ready and help you optimize your performance in the event(s) for which you’ve qualified.
Our 4 star hotel is based in Dundee, providing easy access to both the Granfondo courses and the ITT, while enjoying the vibrant city of Dundee in top class accommodation.
One More Ride was the co-organizer of the WCS UCI event in Varese, and Andrea personally designed all the race courses, so we know how to support you out there! Andrea and the staff have already been to Dundee and Perth to check out hotels, logistic and race courses! Come early to acclimatize to the terrain and ride the race course several times with Andrea, without pushing too hard. You’ll get ready for the race while enjoying the beautiful region of Scotland.
The area is perfect for non-riders as well, so you can bring your family or supporters.

WHO WOULD ENJOY THIS EXPERIENCE?
The experience is built for all riders who have qualified for the UCI World Championship by finishing in the top 20% of their age group in one of the previous UCI World Series events. We also welcome riders able to ride for 4-5 hours a day and just want to enjoy the region without racing.
The days leading up to the races we will do a course recon at a moderate pace and ensure proper recovery after each ride; no high intensity unless you want to!
We will ride as a group on the rolling terrain and as individuals or small groups on the climbs, so that everyone will enjoy the ride at his own pace. Our team of expert guides will support each rider during the ride and make sure everyone finishes safe and happy.
All cyclists interested in granfondo, race atmosphere, and magnificent scenery will enjoy this incredible experience!

MORE ABOUT THE TERRAIN

Although not officially announced, the information we have on specific Gran/Medio routes tells us that the terrain will be a mix of flat and undulating hills, with no long climbs (greatest elevation gain of 300M in any climb) neither steep roads. The Key stats for the Granfondo being 160km/ 1800M elevation, and the MedioFondo 87km/750m elevation.

The ITT race course will be a fast "flat" straight out and back traditional Time Trial course of 26.8km and 137M elevation
TOUR ITINERARY
Day One, July 30 – Warm-up Ride (only for 10 days option)
Main Route: 50km; 30mi Total Ascent: 450m; 900ft
Activity: Airport pick up, Transfer to hotel, bike set up and ride
This is a warm-up ride to ease the legs and body into a week+ of riding. Some of you may have only recently stepped off a plane, so this ride offers a great way to “tease” out that tiredness. It will include some small climbs and offer beautiful views across the region.
Day Two, July 31 – Granfondo Race course recon
Main Route: 100km; 70mi Total Ascent: 1450m; 4900ft
Today we will ride on the most significant sections of the Granfondo and Mediofondo. In the afternoon, relax,have a massage, and eat some good food.
Day Three, August 1 – Granfondo Race course recon (start of 8 days option)
Main Route: 40km; 25mi Total Ascent: 450m; 1600ft
Today we will cpntinue to recce the most significant sections of the Granfondo and Mediofondo. In the afternoon, relax,have a massage, and eat some good food.
Day Four, August 2 – Granfondo or ITT Race course recon
Main Route: 50-100km; 30mi
Total Ascent: 450m; 1600ft
Activity: relax and walk in town
Today we will have 2 riding options: ITT or Granfondo race course. In the afternoon, relax have a massage, and eat some good food.
Day Five, August 3 – Race course recon (Start of the 6 days option)
Main Route: 50-100km; 60mi Total Ascent: 1250m; 3900ft
Activity: race registration
Today we will ride on the most significant sections of the Granfondo or the ITT race course at choice. In the afternoon, visit of the race village and bike set up.
Day Six, August 4 – Granfondo Race Day
Main Route: 60km; 35mi Total Ascent: 750m; 2900ft

Full Gas, it's the Big Day!
Day Seven, August 5 – Rest Day
Main Route: 100km; 60mi Total Ascent: 1500m; 4900ft
Activity: Rest
For those competing in the ITT as well, this is a key rest day or very easy spin! We also have the opportunity to spectate the Womens Elite Road race. In the afternoon, relax!

Day Eight, August 6 – ITT Recon

Total Ascent: rest
Activity: rest and bike set up.

The big day is here, we will fight for the Rainbow Jersey and have a great day on our bikes. After the race, massage and a great celebration dinner!
